General works at Loftus
Pobl has instructed Lovells to commence final works to the grounds around Loftus to meet planning and highway regulations for the final adoption.
Frances and her team are busy removing plants on the corners of Loftus Avenue street beds to prevent any visibility splay concerns. These will be replaced with lower growing plants.
Lovells will be carrying out the following works;
- Final planting of shrubs and replacing any dead trees around the play parc.
- Replacing any cracked pavement slabs
- Water tap and meter for nursery garden
- New bollards to Loftus Walk
- Reposition lamp posts in street in Loftus Square
Following approval by the highways department at Newport Council, a 1.8m high railings and an “A-Frame” barrier will replace the removable bollards between Loftus Grove and Hathaway Street.
Work will commence over the next 4 to 6 weeks.
