Trick or Treat – Halloween at Loftus Garden Village.

It’s the time of the year for pumpkin lanterns and visits from strange creatures. Pobl hopes that you will enjoy the spooky season and look forward to having some photo of your decorations and pumpkin carvings. Please send your photos to Frances.Hope@Poblliving.co.uk.

Here are a few do’s and don’ts to help ensure Trick or Treating at Loftus is safe for everyone.

DO:

  • Only trick or treat in your own neighbourhood unless you are with an adult.
  • Stay in well lit areas where there a lot of houses.
  • make sure an adult knows the area you are visiting and what time to expect you back.
  • Look out for “No Callers Please” posters and respect your neighbours.
  • Keep to pavements and trick or treat on one side of the street before crossing safely to the other side- don’t criss-cross the street.
  • Wait to eat any treats until you get home so that an adult can check them for you.
  • To prevent unwanted ghosts and ghouls visiting please put a “No Callers Please” note on your front door.

DON’T:

  • Don’t cut through alley ways or fields and don’t trick or treat too far from home.
  • Don’t go out alone- take an adult with you or stay in a group.
  • If you go trick or treating please respect the wishes of homes that do not wish to take part. Please do not use the season as an excuse for anti-social behaviour.
  • If you are prepared to welcome local monsters, please switch on your outside light and remove any trip hazards.
  • If you set lanterns outside your front door with candles in them please make sure they are far enough out of the way so that costumes won’t accidentally be set on fire.
  • If you are driving on the 31st please remember excited children don’t always do as expected, please slow down in residential areas and take extra care.
